Message definition (Masticationpedia:Differences from other collaborative projects)

All collaborative projects live on the liveliness of the communities that develop in them. Masticationpedia is no exception: here too there is a (still small) community of contributors discussing the project choices. However, since the scientific method is the only beacon that must guide us, in Masticationpedia the Community does not have the sovereign powers it can have elsewhere, and if one day the Community decided for instance to make the Project state that the Earth is flat, that consensus would be incinerated by the scientific method, by which that hypothesis proves wrong.

Todos los proyectos colaborativos viven de la vivacidad de las comunidades que se desarrollan en ellos. Masticationpedia no es una excepción: aquí también hay una comunidad (todavía pequeña) de colaboradores que discuten las opciones del proyecto. Sin embargo, dado que el método científico es el único faro que debe guiarnos, en Masticationpedia la Comunidad no tiene los poderes soberanos que puede tener en otros lugares, y si un día la Comunidad decide, por ejemplo, hacer que el Proyecto diga que la Tierra es plana, que el consenso sería incinerado por el método científico, por el cual esa hipótesis resulta errónea.
